Ibarra geosite - protected forest

The Guayabillas Protected Forest, declared by the Ministry of Environment on October 29, 2001, has an area of 54.10 hectares, located in the basin of the Tahuando River and the Valle de la Campiña, offers visitors the opportunity to enjoy a panoramic view of the city, hiking, biking, picnicking, camping and sports activities. Guayabillas is named for the presence of the shrub species (Psidium guineense).
